Saudi Society of Optometry was founded in 12-04-1428, a scientific society in the field of optometry and vision science. The Saudi Society of Optometry is under the umbrella of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (Resolution No. 8/A/28). The SSO has the vision of promoting the delivery of quality eye and vision care to Saudis through the practice of optometry and in providing continuous education and training services to the eye care professionals.
